Pastor Tommy Burchfield, the founder of Texas Bible Institute, is a man consumed with compassion and vision for young people. He gave his life to Jesus Christ at the age of 5 and by age 13, was the director of the children’s ministry of his church. He is a local church Pastor and a veteran of over thirty years in ministry all over the world. Pastor Tommy is also a much sought after convention and conference speaker and author.

Pastors Tommy and Rachel Burchfield are the senior pastors of Believers World Outreach Church with campuses in the Katy / Houston, Texas area and Columbus, Texas. They along with their children, Andrew, Peter and Abby who are also actively involved in full time ministry along side their parents; make their home at the headquarters of the ministry in Columbus, Texas. The entire Burchfield family is admired for their loyalty and commitment to the local church and consistent signs and wonders. They exemplify excellence in every aspect of ministry.

Pastors Tommy and Rachel founded Texas Bible Institute in 1990, recognizing the need for a place to “incubate” young people during the adolescent years of major life choices. Pastor Tommy and Rachel believe in young people and they together have accepted the mandate to provide a school that “develops strong foundations in the lives of young people”.
