Q. WHAT IS TEXAS BIBLE INSTITUTE?
A. TBI is a nine-month discipleship program that lays strong “Foundations For Life” in young adults, so they can pursue their God given destiny.
Q. HOW LONG IS IT?
A. TBI’s Discipleship Course is nine months from September to May. TBI’s Leadership Course, which is optional, is an additional nine months.
Q. WHO IS IT FOR?
A. Young adults between 17-25 who
a) Have accepted Jesus Christ
b) Need a safe place to mature
c) Need stability or direction
d) Want to know God’s will
Q. HOW MUCH DOES IT COST?
A. Most of our students’ ten monthly payments are under $300 and that covers everything: housing, food, tuition and books.
A better question is, “How much does it cost to select an unfulfilling career, marry the wrong person or be out of God’s will?”
Q. WHERE WILL I LIVE?
A. All of our students live in our TBI Campus dormitories at the 1,088 acres Burchfield Ministries Headquarters in Columbus, TX.
Q. HOW MANY ROOMMATES?
A. Most alumni, who were nervous about dorm life, agree that their greatest TBI memories involved their four/five roommates.
Q. IS TBI ACCREDITED?
A. Our TBI Board of Regents elected not to pursue academic accreditation to preserve time proven biblical standards. Though some may question “wasting” time at a non-accredited institution, our research has overwhelmingly proven that a greater waste of time and finances is the unfocused youth who changes their college major or career plans multiple times.
Q. HOW IS TBI DIFFERENT FROM SIMILAR SCHOOLS?
A. The tuition is half the price and staff are twice as personal as most other schools. TBI leadership will know your name and your dreams. Within two weeks, hands-on training for both ministry/careers will begin.
Q. CAN YOU DESCRIBE A TYPICAL WEEK AT TBI?
A. Sunday celebrations at Believers World Outreach Church, Mondays are free, Tuesday-Friday morning Bible classes, afternoon ministry/career projects, evening rehearsals, host weekend retreats.
Q. WHAT ARE SOME TBI HIGHLIGHTS?
A. Media training for Young Believers Broadcast, Prayer Culture, Foundations For Life curriculum, Audience of One Productions with hip-hop, drama, and choirs.
